Aint freedom grand? Choice. No one holds a gun at anyones head and says you have to attend one type of ride day, race school or meeting etc? We choose. Promoters, track owners, industry distributers et al, are in business, some to feed their families others to build corporate carrers, enhance their shareholders' positions, and also feed their families. Business can get competitive, people can get passionate,our club has done business with everyone over the years, and had a pretty fun time along the way! The reason for our involvement. Personally, I get disappointed when, greed, short sightedness, jealousy and resentment overshadow, co-operation, fun, attainment and comerarderie etc. We seek to be involved with all promoters at various times. So far, only one has attempted to threaten, bully and impose absurd conditions on us. I didn't work. We seek to enjoy our association and hope those "in charge" treat riders with some affection and respect. I look forward to the best year ever of Australian Road racing, 2009.
